Copper nanoparticles possess properties suitable for application in dentistry and other fields of medicine to combat bacterial infections such as streptococcal pharyngitis, skin infections, and conditions like abscesses and phlegmon. In this regard, studying the antibacterial effects of copper nanomedications is a relevant task. To systematize recent information about the copper nanomedications and the mechanism of action of copper nanoparticles against bacteria. А literature review was conducted on the antibacterial effect of nanoparticles and copper nanomedications against bacterial and streptococcal infections. Numerous studies confirm the effectiveness of copper nanoparticles against streptococcal infections. Experiments have established the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of Cu NPs for various strains of streptococci. The results show that copper nanomaterials can be used as an alternative to traditional antibiotics, especially in the context of increasing antibiotic resistance. Conclusions: copper nanomaterials can be utilized in various forms, such as in toothpastes, dental coatings, and medical devices. Their application can significantly reduce the risk of infections and improve treatment outcomes.
