Antimicrobic activity of volatile oils and water extracts from medicinal herbs of Khakasia

Бесплатный доступ

Antibacterial activity of total extraction from raw material of 23 species of Khakasia herbs is investigated. Volatile oils as well as water extraction from the investigated plants have shown different antibacterial effect. The most promising for the further research are volatile oils from grass Thymus petraeus, Ziziphora clinopodioides, Nepeta nuda, Nepeta sibirica and underground bodies (rhizomes with roots) Coluria geoides, and also water extraction of 7 species of Lamiaceae (Dracocephalum nutans, Glechoma hederacea, Lamium album, Lycopus europaeus, Mentha arvensis, Nepeta nuda, Ziziphora clinopodioides), 1 species from family Asteraceae (Artemisia annua) and 1 species from family Rosaceae (Coluria geoides). The waters obtained as a collateral product at distillation of volatile oil Thymus petraeus, Coluria geoides and Nepeta sibirica are expedient to process for producing biologically active substances with antimicrobial effect.
