Antinomy “the soldier – the officer” in “Red Wheel” by A. I. Solzhenitsyn

The article puts forward and gives grounds for the hypothesis concerning the motif of the internal contention which makes the core of the whole of the epic “Red Wheel”.The main idea of the author, according to the researcher, is that the death of the Russian Empire was predetermined at the moment when this internal contention struck the Russian army.
