In this article, scientific knowledge is considered through the prism of the existential tradition of philosophizing. To this end, a philosophical analysis of the positions of some authors representing this tradition was carried out. According to the author, existentialism represents a specific point of view on the possibilities of science in the field of comprehension of human existence: thus, the author comes to the conclusion that existential philosophy is not purely anti-scientific, but limits the methodological possibilities of science in solving existential problems.
