Anti-sacrificial understanding of Christianity in the fundamental anthropology of Ren'e Girard

The paper represents main aspects of the theory of French philosopher and literary critic René Girard (1923-2015) and suggests non-classical approach to representation of the victim phenomenon. The article demonstrates that according to this approach Girard radically rejects the understanding of victim and victimhood in their capacities as mythological facts of culture. This opinion helps to render the work of the sacrificial mechanism as socially realizable and thus susceptible to social judgment.
