The project of development the largest in Russia Elga coal deposit, being currently implemented on the territory of South Yakutia, can have negative environmental consequences. Thereby, assessment of environmental impact of coal plant and assessment of anthropogenic landscape changes of development area are given on regional and local levels. It is defined, that modern economic development of the territory with local industrial development of area is insignificant. Highest anthropogenic change level is characteristic for mining areas, which sound to mountainous under bald and woodland landscapes. Average degree of anthropogenic changes is characteristic for mountainous valleys, which are occupied by deer pastures predominantly, and low degree - for majority of mountain-slope landscapes.
