The article studies a new (digital) media space in the anthropological context. We explicate anthropological shifts, based on the specifics of modern media, which bear the marks of a humanitarian crisis. The decline in the egalitarian potential of the digital public sphere destroys the culture of civic participation, makes it impossible to form a deliberative space of discussion. The transit of identity into the digital space, where it is presented in the form of a profile on the network, transfers the vector of personal activity from one's own self to digital representation. In the context of interactive digital media flows, a person overcomes overload and the burden of freedom through identification therapy, losing the mental prism aimed at rational reflection. The symptoms of human inflation are the destruction of the foundations of motivation and goal-setting, the levelling of understanding the life as a meaningful movement, which is characterized by coherence, systemicity, continuity.
