Modern anthropology as a source of M. Mamardashvili’s existentialism

The article examines the key stages of the prerequisites for the formation of existentialism, which served as sources of M. Mamardashvili's ontological anthropology. The idea of the natural appearance of the concept of "anthropological catastrophe" is substantiated. Special attention is paid to the controversial issue of the interpretation of the concept «transcendental subject».
