In this paper, we develop an approach to analyzing the data of the movement of vehicles obtained from measurements made by the satellite navigation system. When using the proposed approach, the vehicle speed is considered to be a stationary random process, the correlation function of which belongs to one of the specified classes. Based on the monitoring results, the value of the correlation function parameter is chosen, which, in a certain sense, best corresponds to the measurement results. We also solve the problem, in a certain sense, of the optimal choice of time averaging the resulting tracking of the speed value. In addition, we take into account that, for the chosen interval duration, the obtained correlation function of the velocity corresponds to the correlation function of the hypothetical class for the program.
