Lease relations in the Middle Volga noble households in the second half of the XIX - early XX centuries

The article analyzes the problems of rental relations in the noble households of the Middle Volga region in the second half of the XIX - early XX centuries. The author considers the circumstances that influenced their rapid development during this period, as well as researches the types of land rent and its price. As a research result, the author concludes that the lease was a way out of financial difficulties of the post-reform period for the local nobility, and its use became one of the methods of land management.
