Exploration survey conducted in 2017 in the valleys of the rivers Sos and Bolshoy Monok, the right bank tributaries of the Abakan river, in the vicinity of the villages of Ust-Sos and Bolshoy Monok in the south of Khakassia, resulted in the discovery of several new Paleolithic sites. The archeological material consists of stone inventory; it was discovered in the outcrops of sand blowouts, on the surface, and along the slope of the right bank of the Abakan river. The collection consists of subprismatic cores, core blanks, scraper-shaped and knife-shaped tools made on blades and flakes, as well as unretouched blades and flakes. The carbonaceous crust is present on the surface of some tools. Typologically, the materials can be dated to the Late Paleolithic.
