Architectural image of Moscow of 1812 by the eyes of the enemy

Architectural image of Moscow which was pictured in the diaries of French participants of the Patriotic War of 1812 is presented in the article. Some historical parallels between cultural heritage of the peoples' destruction and results of this activity are made.
