Arctic zone of the Russian Federation: features of natural, economic and demographic resources

The article explores the unique characteristics of the environment, the population and economic activities in the Arctic environment, identified the main problems of socio-economic development. The work carried out based on the processing management information which highlighted the relationship between the elements of the Arctic environment. The study used the methods of analysis, synthesis, integrated approaches, comparisons, and other methods of systematic knowledge. It is concluded that the use of inadequate quality nonmineral and mineral resources in the Arctic. It offers a more complete development of local resources and create a favorable social environment for the region's population. The author defines the relationship between the elements and offers rational instruments of impact for maximum effect. Thus, the possibility of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation is largely due to human potential, because interesting not only for the natural opportunities of the Arctic, but also its demographic characteristics. Human capital can be considered as one of the strategic resources of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, along with the oil, gas, marine and air routes.
