The article examines the main results of the economic development of the Arctic regions of Canada, Norway and the United States in the first twenty years of the XXI century. Based on the data of the state statistics bodies of these countries, it is shown that these countries have developed models that fundamentally differ in the degree of the public sector’s contribution to the GRP, the structure of the local economy, and the dependence of the territories on the state budget. The data presented allow to conclude that the most diversified structure of the economy has been formed in the Arctic provinces of Norway, ensuring a high level of their self-sufficiency and contribution to GDP. Intra-country features of economic models in the Arctic regions of Canada, Norway and the United States are relevant due to the internal heterogeneity of the sectors of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation (Euro-Arctic, Ural-Krasnoyarsk and Far Eastern), which, in turn, radically differ from each other in such characteristics as population density, sectoral structure of the economy, availability of scientific and educational platforms, transport accessibility, etc.
