The arctic in the system of priorities for strategic planning of the Russian economy

The current new geopolitical conditions impose severe restrictions on Russia's economic interaction with European countries. This directly concerns economic maritime activities in the waters of the Black and especially the Baltic Seas in terms of the Russian fleet's exercise of the right of guaranteed access to the North Atlantic, including the most important straits of this region. Therefore, the vector of sea communications is shifting from the western direction to the south and north. And if the southern route can turn into a "Turkish gambit," then Russia's sovereign rights to the Arctic spaces and lands are still undeniable. Thus, in the system of development priorities for Russia, the dominant strategic planning in the current long-term perspective is 2030-35. The Arctic stands out. Today it is one of five maritime regions, mainly in which the task of maintaining Russia's status as a great maritime power is being solved.
