This article analyzes the essence of such an innovative tool in business as coaching. Some characteristics of this concept are considered, as well as individual and team technologies for applying coaching are investigated. During the study, the author concludes that coaching is a progressive way to improve the climate in the team, which contributes to the development of important qualities and leads to the realization of the intended goal through the use of various techniques (SMART, SMARTER, GROW, CLEAR PURE and many others). These tools provide an opportunity to effectively develop both small and large businesses in modern conditions of high competition.
