Arterial hypertension (AH) is a condition in which systolic blood pressure is 140 mmHg or more and/or diastolic blood pressure is 90 mmHg or more, provided that these values are obtained as a result of at least three measurements made at different times in a calm environment, and the patient on this day, I did not take drugs that change HELL. Hypertension affects 30-40% of the adult population. With age, the prevalence increases and reaches 60-70% in people over 65 years of age, and in old age isolated systolic hypertension is more common, which is detected in less than 5% of the population under the age of 50. Before the age of 50, hypertension is more common in men, and after 50 years - in women. Among all forms of hypertension, mild and moderate accounts for about 70-80%, in other cases, pronounced hypertension is observed. Secondary hypertension accounts for 5-10% of all cases of hypertension. At the same time, according to specialized clinics where patients with high and persistent hypertension are concentrated, secondary hypertension can be detected in 30-35% of cases using complex and expensive research methods.
