Russian landscape gardening culture began its unique development at the beginning of the 18th century and has been attracting a lot of attention for more than three centuries. A striking example of this is the manor parks in the Bryansk region, the period of the XVIII-XIX centuries. To study the species diversity of woody vegetation and the planning structure of the park part of the estate complexes, the most preserved estate parks of the Bryansk region were selected: Sapozhkov Villa with a manor park (Vyunki village), Revny manor parks (Revny village) and the estates of the princes Tenishev (Khotylevo village). The park schemes show a technique for constructing compositions based on the principle of landscape painting and landscape diversity. Field studies were carried out on the territory of the parks, an analysis was made and a comparative characteristic of the elements of the layout and species composition was given. It was revealed that the range of woody plants is similar in composition in the park areas of Revny village and Khotylevo village, the park of Sapozhkov Villa has a more diverse species composition due to introduced species imported from other regions. The techniques of forming landscape compositions have similar features in the parks under study. More in-depth research is needed to carry out measures for the restoration, reconstruction and preservation of manor parks.
