Asteraceae in the flora of the Middle Volga region

The article provides an annotated list of species of the Asteraceae family (Compositae) of the flora of the Middle Volga region (within Mordovia, Tatarstan, Chuvashia republics, Penza, Samara, Ulyanovsk regions). The list contains 305 species (native, unintentionally introduced and introduced outside the culture), as well as 77 species of introduced species known only in culture, 30 hybrids (notovids), 41 microspecies of Taraxacum and 31 species that need confirmation of information about their growth in the region. Two species are listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation: Archanthemis trotzkiana [ Anthemis trotzkiana ] and Klasea tanaitica [ K. radiata subsp. tanaitica ; Serratula tanaitica ].
