Attributes and practice of Rassokhin Evens' shamanism. LYUDMILA N. KHAKHOVSKAYA (N.A. Shilo North-East Interdisciplinary Scientific Research Institute, Far Eastern Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences) The author explores shamanism of Rassokhin Evens living in the Okhotsk-Kolyma region. The article shows that Rassokhin Evens have original shamanic attributes associated with healing which include medical amulets depicting the organs of the human body and soft figurines symbolizing the patient. The author pays special attention to an unusual detail of Rassokhin shaman cap in the form of a long «tail» with the calendar pattern and reveals symbols and meaning connected to it.
