Aviation transport in the system of ecological well-being

In recent years, all state programs have been implemented in line with national development goals. This article assesses the need for and funding of the «Environmental Well-Being» national project (NP) and the federal projects (FP) that comprise it. In today’s environment, environmental well-being is a value for the entire global community. This paper draws conclusions based on a comparison of statistical indicators presented in the sustainability reports of key air carriers – S7 Airlines and Aeroflot. The analysis revealed significant differences at the strategic level – when determining and identifying impacts on environmental well-being. Further evaluation of indicator trends confirmed the relationship between the companies’ strategic environmental positioning and practical results. S7 Airlines, which integrates sustainable development principles into its operations, has achieved higher environmental indicators.
