Automation of high-tech manufacturing warehouse in an appliance-making enterprise

In any science-intensive manufacturing activity of an instrument-making enterprise a bottleneck may be detected which will reduce the overall performance. In the case under study such a bottleneck is a warehouse due to its outdated operating system and lack of necessary means for collecting and processing information. A mathematical model has been developed to optimize the warehouse operation based on rationing of work and technical characteristics. The solution under varying constraints has proved the necessity to automate the warehouse. Proposals for the implementation of radio-frequency identification technology have been developed.
