Products manufactured at industrial enterprises are in increasing demand. Production is constantly complicated, its pace is growing, the equipment used is improved. Currently, it is difficult to imagine an industrial process without compressors. Today there are many models of compressors, variants of their execution and application. Compressors vary in pressure, performance, working environment, environmental conditions. A variety of the compressor equipment existing now and a considerable number of manufacturing firms, specific features of the enterprises of the oil refining industry do an actual task of its choice in operating conditions and cause need of automation of its calculation taking into account economy of energy resources. The article analyzes the market of industrial compressor equipment. The characteristics and basic parameters of compressor equipment for the oil refining industry and reflect the specific conditions of their choice: work in conditions of high shaking and vibration, in explosive and fire-hazardous areas, the degree of protection - at least IP65. In the integrated environment Delphi 7 developed software “compressor” to automate the selection of energy-efficient compressor equipment and calculate the energy savings from its implementation, an example of the calculation.
