Automated imaging system with the transfer parameters for Modbus protocol

To automate the production of complex parts of precision instrument-making, a visualization system with the transmission of parameters via Modbus Protocol has been developed. The development uses an Arduino Uno microcontroller and an OPC server using the Modbus Protocol. The following development environments were used to write the program: Arduino IDE and Simple Scada. MasterOPC Universal Modbus Server is used to establish communication between them. Thanks to automation, the main indicators of production efficiency are improved, namely, the amount of scrap and waste is reduced, the quality of products is improved and its cost is reduced. The system implements the measurement of part parameters in production and their transfer to the dispatcher.
