N. A. Trifonova G. S. N. A. Rusakov’s self-portraits (188-1941) as implementation of creative principle of dual coding

The article analyses a self-portrait in the national figurative art of the first third of ХХ century, role and content of the genre on the example of creations of the obscure to academic art science painter N. A. Rusakov, a founder of professional figurative art in South Ural and Chelyabinsk. The author reveals peculiarities of self-portrait in the art of 1910-1930s, connected with dynamism of social reality and artistic processes of the social disruptions epoch which passed through the painter’s personality and found expression in colour-plastic, compositional and figurative phenomenological characteristics of time, personality and creativity mixture.
