Author’s concepts of creating an exhibition in the monstyr museums of the XIX century: St. John the Baptist Hermitage of Optina desert and New Jerusalem

The article is devoted to memorial expositions in the bishop's house of the hermitage of the Optiene Desert (1860) and the Museum of the Memory of Patriarch Nikon in the Resurrection New Jerusalem Monastery (1874). The author's concepts of their creators are considered: hieroschim. Makariya (Ivanov) and his disciple Archim. Leonid (Kavelin). The spiritual and historical continuity of museums is revealed, the general principles of the formation of exposition complexes are named. The main aspects of Patriarch Nikon's activity reflected in the memorial are noted: the organization of Russian Palestine, church building, spiritual care of the flock by the personal example of ascetic monastic work.
