Creative journalism of Peter Vail and Alexander Genis

The paper analyzes creative journalism of the third-wave émigré writers Peter Vail and Alexander Genis. The subject and the genre and style features of these writers’ journalism are discussed. The material of the study included the philological novel «Dovlatov and Surroundings» by Alexander Genis, having journalistic features, natural philosophy-based stories, lyrical culture studies, a book of recipes and essays and the authors’ collections of essays.
