Motor transport as an air pollutant of Karachay-Cherkessia - aspects of geoecological problems

The article briefly highlights the main aspects of air pollution. A detailed description of the main pollutants - vehicle emissions is given. The specifics of the motor vehicle fleet as the main source of air pollution in Karachay-Cherkessia are considered. Automobile exhausts emit a wide range of gases and solids, which negatively affects both the environment and public health. After all, an important component is that the state of the components of the airspace is the main indicator of the state and quality of the environment. The actual data on emissions of pollutants into the air from vehicles in Karachay-Cherkessia are given. Measures to improve the quality of the air environment are proposed.
