The importance of industrial policy cannot be overestimated. Maintaining productivity growth at the level of international competitors is now a fundamental condition for the sustainability of any national strategy. Industrial policy faces a number of challenges. It should contribute to effective economic development, identify and address the most serious obstacles faced by a country, and address these challenges in a manner that enables the implementation and application of these solutions in specific policy and institutional contexts. In such a context, it is advisable not to neglect the experience of other countries in implementing industrial policies. The compilation of foreign experiences reveals national models of industrial policy implementation, one of which is the Asian model. This article summarizes the experience of such countries as Japan, South Korea and China. The examples of industrial policy implementation in these countries have a certain importance for the formation of their own industrial concept.
