The development of theatrical and musical art in the Astrakhan province in the first decade of Soviet power

In the Astrakhan province, the same processes in cultural life took place as throughout the country, but they had their own specifics, due to both the geographical location of the region, the predominance of the rural population, and the multinational composition. However, taking into account the regional specifics of the development of the Astrakhan province, the formation of cultural life on the ground was subject to adjustment, both by the central governing bodies and by local authorities. In the Astrakhan province, the acceleration of the pace of building a network of Soviet cultural and educational institutions was noted, due to the need to reach the cultural level of the central regions of the country.
