Badminton in the program of elective sports of students of OSU named after I. S. Turgenev

The article contains a brief history of badminton in the world, the history of the development of the game at Orel state University. The article deals with the forms of organization of badminton lessons, one of the twenty elective sports developed at the University within the framework of the program of applied physical culture. On the basis of own and studied experience of work of experts in work the General recommendations to carrying out employment on badminton in High school are presented.
