Bakhtin's marginalia as a source for the study of the thinker’s creative laboratory

The article examines M.M. Bakhtin's marginalia as an essential source for modern research. The authors analyze the cases available in Bakhtinology, presented in the commentaries to the thinker's collected works, Bakhtin's reading notes on the pages of O.M. Freidenberg's monograph, the collection of articles “A.I. Herzen” and others. The conclusion is made that these Bakhtin materials should be included in the scientific turnover.
