Bakhtin’s approach to the authorship

Бесплатный доступ

The article deals with origins of Bakhtin’s authorship theory. These are obvious analytical west sources and less obvious synthetic ones, connected with the Russian theological tradition and described as a system by N.D. Tamarchenko. Bakhtin’s own ideas concerning authorship are supposed to describe in terms of classical rhetoric categories. Invention presupposes an author-as-creator of the world which hero lives in; disposition deals with an author who chooses the genre and constructs the heroes in the plot and composition; in elocution an author is a writer converting all the previous steps into the text. And at last the author becomes responsible for the life of his work in a society. It correlates with the stage of “actio” in ancient rhetoric.
