Bank loaning of the agrarian economic sector

The article notes that the bank loan plays an important role in the mechanism of agricultural sector financing. The leading banks, crediting the agriculture, are Russian Agricultural Bank and Sberbank of Russia. In 2014, commercial banks issued more than 570 billion rubles in loans to enterprises of the agricultural sector. However, bank lending to agriculture is not sufficient. The banks are not interested in crediting to agrarian enterprises, because most of them are loss-making and producing low return. Under these circumstances, it is necessary to improve the availability of bank loans, as well as to strengthen the state support of agricultural lending.
