The bankruptcy of companies: a review of methodological approaches

Bankruptcy is one of the key problems of effective management of companies. Despite the development of theory and methodology in this area, a number of applied problems remained unsolved. They relate to the reliable prediction of bankruptcy. At the same time, the institutional environment of firms needs to be more fully taken into account. According to the author, the bankruptcy theory should be developed in the direction of solving these problems.
