Bard: bank of data for risk analysis

Computer system BARD - bank of data for risk analysis - is described. BARD has been developed since 1994 in parallel with the methodology of risk assessment. BARD is intended for assessment of consequences of nuclear tests and accidents and decision making on protective and rehabilitation measures, risk assessment and comparison for different energy systems etc. Besides calculation and servise codes BARD contains the great intrinsic health-demographic data (HDD) base: age distribution density, age-cause-specific death rates and age-specific fertility rates. HDD have been prepared for population of many regions of Russia for different years, for some regions of CIS and some countries around the world. BARD is constantly supported and developed in two versions: local and distributed one's, accessible through Internet. With BARD one can calculate radiation and non-radiation risks. Verification of BARD is carried out by comparison of calculations using other computer systems available. Examples of risk assessment results are given.
