Barriers and opportunities for the development of the Russian derivatives market

The relevance of the research lies in the fact that the Russian derivatives market is undergoing a period of transformation under the influence of sanctions pressure, structural changes in the economy and a reorientation to new sales markets. In these circumstances, it remains critically important for businesses to protect themselves from risks of various uncertainties. However, this process is complicated by several limitations, ranging from regulatory barriers to technological lag. The authors propose a study of barriers and prospects for the development of derivatives in Russia to determine the necessary steps to create a sustainable risk management system in the new economic environment. The results of the study may be in demand from regulators, financial market participants, and corporations that depend on the external economic environment.
