The white-green movement in Kuban

Based on the archival materials, the article analyses the White-Green movement, which was the Kuban Cossacks’ response to the actions of the Soviet authorities, which were affecting destructively the traditional way of life. The author believes that the reasons for rebels’ opposition to the Soviet regime were the Civil war, the unresolved land question, and eradication of traditional Cossack values.
