Belarusian of Shegarsky district of Tomsk region in the late of XIX - beginning of XX century

At the turn of the century Shegarsky district of Tomsk region was strongly influenced by migration processes from the territories of land shortage. Permanent migrations were also connected with regions belonging to Belarus today. As the result of mentioned tendencies having all-Russian character, Tatosh-Shegarsky emigrant sub-district including several districts (volost) of Tomsk province, divided into settlements. Based on the materials of archival sources the article considers to the process of land settlement of Belarusian peasants from Chubir-Kargalinsky, Rostashevsky, Komarovsky, Kiryanovsky, Balaschovsky, Zharkovsky, Baturinsky, Lopushinsky, Kandrashinsky, Skachka districts and etc. Referring to the principles of objectivity and historicism and using of local and comparative-historical approaches and survey as a method of field research, it was possible to obtain the following results. Among migrants there were mostly peasants engaged in agriculture. The study showed that, in connection with the beginning of the migrant policy, part of the Belarusian component on the territory of Bogorodsky, Babarykinsky, Monastirsky districts of Tomsk province has increased significantly. The analysis of archival sources has confirmed the existent statement that in some cases newcomers were settled in the immediate vicinity to already formed settlements, in other cases- on separately formed emigrant areas. The study has allowed to classify settlements and to specify the factors that led to their emergence. Accordingly, it has been several groups of settlements: settlements that have already existed and by the time of the reform began to experience the impact of Belarus; the separated settlements formed by Belarusian; areas that were less subjected to the influence of Belarusian. The analysis also allowed to expand the existing in scientific literature list of settlements that connects with the Belarusian component.
