At the present stage of development, enterprises strive to provide themselves with a high level of competitive advantages and preserve their resources. There are many different ways to do this, but Lean can combine all the other ways and create a “base” for them. Continuous improvement of processes, which is the basis of lean manufacturing, allows the enterprise to move forward, but to go on the path of progress, constantly increasing the level of customer satisfaction, staff involvement, as well as reducing losses at the enterprise. Lean manufacturing should be seen as a philosophy, system and toolkit. Lean principles aim to continually work to improve efficiency while eliminating all types of waste. Lean manufacturing can completely change the way that exists in the enterprise. This is due to the fact that the principles and methods of lean manufacturing can reduce production time and the number of rejects, increase productivity, and much more. This article is aimed at disclosing information about the concept of lean manufacturing, describing its principles and tools. The article also discusses examples of the implementation of lean production in companies such as PJSC KAMAZ, JSC Alfa-Bank, PJSC Sberbank, The Boeing Company.
