Bertillon system: glorious past and expectations

The article considers an effective approach for a reliable identification on the basis of a comprehensive analysis of the anthropometric data developed by A. Bertillon. In the early twentieth century, it was unnecessarily cumbersome and time-consuming, also demanded a high scientific qualification from a specialist. Currently, computer technology eliminates these drawbacks by providing the ability to identify a person with an extremely high degree of probability.
