Unmanned cargo transportation in the context of digitalization: difficulties and directions of development

The article discusses the importance of the transition to the use of autonomous cargo vehicles in the context of digitalization. The main advantages of using unmanned cargo vehicles are highlighted, which acts as a factor in reducing the complexity of work, reducing risks and minimizing logistics costs. The practice of readiness for the introduction of unmanned cargo transportation on the territory of the Russian Federation is analyzed. Unresolved issues are identified in relation to transport security, in the space of legislative initiatives, optimization of development and minimization of possible side effects.
