Autonomous Transportation Control Systems (ATCS) represent innovative technologies that are increasingly being applied in various types of transport. This article explores the prospects for implementing ATCS in railway transport, including improvements in safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Examples of successful implementation are analyzed, such as the AutoHaul™ system in Australia, Urbalis 400 CBTC in the Sydney Metro, and automated control systems in the Lima and Copenhagen Metros. The introduction of these systems significantly reduces operational costs, enhances passenger comfort and safety, and improves train movement coordination.
