Business security and criminal law

The article examines the formation of the principles of criminal law with respect to the security of business at each stage of application of criminal law standards. It notes the importance of criminological research in the formation of these principles. The article contains a brief overview on the development of the business security concept in the domestic legal doctrine and its relationship with the criminal law. The authors define the essence of business security, which is manifested in the creation of criminal laws and their practical application and the expression of the views of society, and which concerns crime and the practice of applying legal norms. They establish the purpose of the said concept and assess the public danger of entrepreneurs’ behavior. In addition, the authors evaluate the application of this concept in certain areas of criminal law, in particular in criminology, criminal enforcement law, etc. They define the objectives of business security; establish the basis for the correct and timely implementation of business security measures. The article describes crime patterns in the field of business security and criminal law.
