Library and information education: challenges of the time and factors of influence

The article presents the main provisions of the author's oral presentation at the XXVI International Conference and Exhibition "LIBCOM-2022": "Information technologies, computer systems and publishing products for libraries" was held in Suzdal from November 20 to 25, 2022. The results of the study of environmental factors influencing the orientation and content of library and information education at the present time and in the near future are presented. Geopolitical, economic, environmental, informational, managerial, technological, and anthropological challenges that are important for library and information education are identified and analyzed.
