Library services for children and youth in Russia and abroad: the search for modern approaches

The article is devoted to the systematization and generalization of knowledge in the field of library services in children's, public, school libraries in Russia and several foreign countries. Several issues are raised that are relevant to the work of modern libraries in the context of the "IFLA Guidelines for Library Services for Children Ages 0-18". At the center of the global library community are issues related to the promotion and development of reading of the young generation in real and electronic environments, with the provision of high-quality services for children and young people in the digital age.
