The library of Primorsky state art gallery as a communication system

The author focuses on the issue of multifaceted activities of a museum library on the example of the library of Primorsky State Art Gallery. The study examines the work of the art gallery’s library as a communication system. The author suggests to use the term “museum library science” for the analysis of museum library’s activities. This term is treated as a cultural form in sense of T.P. Kalugina.
