Big data, open data as new information formats: essence, features, application in journalism

The paper examines the nature and characteristics of new formats of digital data, the so called big (big data) and open (open data) formats. The author examines the impact of these types of information on technological aspects of the journalistic process, and outlines new specific parameters of media communication which becomes more and more socially oriented, all this confirming the emergence of data-journalism as a special direction of journalism.
