The aim of the study is to explore an effective management tool - digital modeling of buildings and structures, solving public safety problems through the ability to monitor the state of urban infrastructure. The research method is a comparative analysis. As a result, practical advantages of using BIM technologies are formulated, the prospects of using smart solutions in security issues are shown.
