Biogenesis of ribosomes in chicken liver after introduction of 17-β-estradiol

On the chicken of the White Leghorn breed in scientific experiment the authors studied an influence of single and repeated estrogens introduction on content of protein, DNA, RNA, ribosome in liver. It was shown, that 17-β-estradiol introduction to the chicken results in proliferation and hypertrophy of hepatocytes, the increase of ribosome content in them. The content of ribosome in liver tissue after repeated estrogen introduction was higher, than after single one. The observed changes after single and repeated 17-β-estradiol introduction had reversible character.
